Thomas.J.Mitchell
Thomas J. Mitchell was Born 1932 in Lanarkshire Scotland and has studied the art's and music since childhood.

Tommy played brass baritone in the Royal Air Force Iraq Command Military Band in the early 1950’s. It was during this period that he became interested in pre-history while visiting many of the ancient sites in the Middle East.

Tommy is also a celebrated pianist performing with many legendary singers such as Mel Tormey. In his years of research he has made a study of the ancient diatonic scale and its relationships to sacred geometry and esoteric teachings. He became a Freemason in the early 1960’s and gained access to information which had a bearing
on his lifetime interest in the history of music and its relationship to classical architecture.

It was this interest that led him in the late 1970’s to the mystery of the cubes in Rosslyn Chapel and the possibility that music lay hidden in the arches.

Tommy is currently working on a new symphonic work that displays the visual connection between  cymatics and music vibration.

NEW EARTH

In the darkest trough O' winter,
When birds hae ceased tae sing,
An' cauld winds torture flesh an' bone,
I dearly lo'e the Spring .

I dearly lo'e the Spring ma Lad !
Though Earth seems sair depleted,
The strength'nin Sun beguiles my hert,
As winter is defeated !

Wi' sichts an' sounds o' Spring my Lad!
An' a' the Earth can bring,
I'll worship every blade O' grass,
An' every bird that sings!

I'll welcome Spring again my Lad,
An' bid the dark adieu,
Then gie the Lord my humble thanks,
As Earth is born anew !
